Engaged in support of a potential property acquisition, Biller Reinhart Engineering Group was retained to provide a structural condition survey of the Westwood Center, an eight-story office building in Tampa. The assignment focused on offering clear, decision-oriented insight into the building’s structural health at a pivotal moment in the ownership process.

The team conducted a targeted review of available construction and record documents, followed by a visual site assessment of the primary structural systems and rooftop equipment supports. Rather than approaching the building through the lens of redesign or code compliance, the work emphasized understanding existing conditions as they presented themselves—what could be seen, evaluated, and responsibly interpreted.

The resulting summary report combined professional judgment with photographic documentation and a forward-looking perspective, including anticipated repair costs and recommendations for further evaluation where warranted. The effort provided the client with an informed, practical understanding of the structure’s condition, helping translate technical observation into actionable clarity during a critical investment decision.
